Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking an Intermediate Lease Administrator, to join our Real Estate division, in our Vancouver office. The successful candidate is an enthusiastic and hardworking team player who would like to work with lawyers in our busy Real Estate department. The regular working hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Standard Responsibilities

  • Draft lease documentation, offers, extension agreements, amending agreements, assignments of offers, assignments of leases, possession notices, termination agreements and other documents related to the life cycle of the primarily retail documentation
  • Review and analyze comments on documentation received from tenants, tenants’ solicitors and the client
  • Prepare comments complete with any recommendations and step downs noted and submit for review to the supervising lawyer
  • Routinely enter, maintain and update tracking information related to the status of the subject document for primarily landlord (with some tenant) clients
  • Routinely track and maintain an early alert tracking system for tenant client extension notifications to various landlords
  • Routinely correspond with landlord clients and/or their tenants in order to assist with any documentation concerns

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years’ relevant commercial real estate industry experience
  • General knowledge of property management procedures an asset
  • Excellent commercial lease writing ability and document drafting experience
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and solve problems in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and a part of a collegial team
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and proof reading skills
  • Display extraordinary client service in a professional, mature and courteous manner
  • Highly dependable and adaptable with strong work ethic
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
