Hartshorne & Mehl is Vancouver Litigation Law Firm founded in 1960.  Our firm has been litigating in the Courts of British Columbia for over 60 years.  We are specialized in complex litigation, automotive and other commercial products liability, major equipment and property damage claims, catastrophic personal injury including, permanent neurological, brain and spinal, psychological injury, property and insurance matters.

 

We are currently seeking a full time, permanent placement, Reception Admin Assistant/Office Services Clerk to join our team. General Responsibilities:

 

  • Receiving and directing all incoming calls on a multi-line phone system;
  • Receiving and distributing all incoming and outgoing mail, courier packages and distribution of incoming faxes;
  • General maintenance of the reception area, boardroom, copy room and kitchen;
  • Greeting clients and guests;
  • Responsible for boardroom bookings and assisting with firm events and functions;
  • Monitoring and ordering of all office and janitorial supplies;
  • Closing files and preparing for storage;
  • Processing large copy, scan and print jobs;
  • Filing;
  • Providing overflow assistance for our Legal Administrative Assistants; and
  • Assisting with other projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Pleasant and professional telephone etiquette;
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills;
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel);
  • Knowledge and operation of photocopiers, printers, scanners and fax machines;
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure; and
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new tasks quickly; and
  • Prior experience working in a legal law office is an asset.
